Golkowski’s research featured in National Institute of Standards and Technology article

Electrical Engineering Assistant Professor Mark Golkowski has been doing collaborative research with JILA and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder.

Golkowski investigates novel methods of sterilization and disinfection using electrical plasma assisted chemistry. Such technology has the potential to provide an alternative to liquid chemical and high heat based methods of disinfection.

Rens’ bridge work featured on university home page

The University of Colorado Denver home page, ucdenver.edu, currently features a story about Civil Engineering Professor and Chair Kevin Rens’ work inspecting bridges with the City and County of Denver.

In an effort to boost internal and external awareness of what’s going on in the college, we are collecting ideas for interesting stories. We want to know what’s happening with you, your research, your labs and your students. There are excellent things happening in our college and it’s time that we start spreading the word.

Whether it’s interesting, applicable research, a unique collaboration, or know of some students who have interesting stories or are doing outstanding work, we want to know about it. There are no bad ideas.
