2013 Conference on Earth and Energy Research

Students are invited to participate in the 2013 Conference on Earth and Energy Research (CEER). CEER is hosted by the Colorado School of Mines Graduate Student Association and is on February 21-22, 2013. The abstract submission deadline is February 9, 2013 and is limited to a few paragraphs.

Undergraduate students who are considering a graduate education and would benefit from experiencing these research presentations are also welcome.

CEER is an innovative conference experience designed by graduate students for graduate students.

For Everyone

  • Attend topical oral and poster sessions showcasing current graduate research
  • Keynote Speaker Dr. Dana Christinsen, Deputy Laboratory Director for Science and Technology at NREL
  • Closing Keynote Speaker Dr. Chuck Kutscher, Principle Engineer and Manager of the Thermal Systems Group at NREL and Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder

For Graduate and Undergraduate Presenters

  • Real-time, quantitative feedback from judges (available immediately after presentations)
  • Prizes for the best oral and poster presentations (including a MacBook Pro, iPad 4, and iPad mini)
  • Learn about graduate research opportunities
  • Network during evening socials with other student researchers

For Professors and Scientists

  • Volunteer as a judge and provide feedback to students on their presentation skills
  • Network with other judges from industry, government, and academia

Presentations will be grouped according to five key research themes at Mines: Earth, Energy, Environment, Materials, and Systems Engineering.

Call for papers: 2013 Education, Math & Engineering Technology by Hawaii University International Conferences; due March 15

The 2013 Hawaii University International Conferences (HUIC) on Education, Math and Engineering Technology welcomes and invites papers (in English only) from all areas of Education, Mathematics, Engineering Technology and related fields. The conference will be held from June 10 to 12 (Monday through Wednesday) at the Ala Moana Hotel, in Honolulu Hawaii.
The conference aim objective is to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, and academicians as well as industrial professionals from all over the world to present their research results and development in their related fields.

The deadline for submission is March 15.
