Congratulations to Professor Wes Marshall and Assistant Professor Farnoush Banaei-Kashani, recipients of the 2021 College of Engineering, Design and Computing faculty awards.  

Marshall received the college’s Outstanding Faculty in Teaching Award. The Outstanding Faculty in Teaching Award is intended to recognize and encourage outstanding instruction, effective facilitation of learning, innovation in the classroom and laboratory, and noteworthy curriculum development.

Banaei-Kashani received the Chang Faculty Research Award. The Chang Faculty Research Award is intended to recognize and encourage overall research excellence, important research achievements, and research that has significant impact on society, industry and the disciplines of engineering and applied science.

Both winners will receive a cash prize and commemorative plaque. Marshall and Banaei-Kashani also are eligible for the university-level faculty awards in teaching and research, respectively, which will be announced by the Provost’s Office later this year.
