Sean Hansen, a 2021 bioengineering graduate, was the first student in Bioengineering to receive the CU Denver Colorado Engineering Council Silver Medal Award. The Silver Medal Award is presented annually to graduating senior engineering students in specific schools designated by the Colorado Engineering Council. Hansen was selected from three top students nominated by the college for consideration and interviewed by the Engineering Council Student Awards Committee. He will receive a Certificate of Merit and the Medal of Award in silver. Sean’s highest accomplishments include the creation of the BEEP program and the first student to graduate with a 4.0 cumulative GPA.  You can read more about his accomplishments here.
