Banaei-Kashani awarded tenure

On June 17, the University of Colorado Board of Regents approved 77 awards and appointments of tenure. Among those was Farnoush Banaei-Kashani, faculty in computer science and engineering, who was awarded tenure.

Banaei-Kashani joined the college in 2014 and is the founder and director of the Big Data Management and Mining Lab in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. His research focuses on fundamental and applied data management with special interest in data-driven decision-making systems, i.e., systems that automate the process of decision-making based on data. His research has been supported by grants from both governmental agencies and industry.
