Sean Hansen, a 2021 bioengineering graduate, is this year’s CU Denver Colorado Engineering Council Silver Medal Award recipient.

The Medal of Award in silver is presented annually to graduating senior engineering students in the several schools designated by the Colorado Engineering Council. Hansen was selected from three top students who were nominated by the college for consideration and interviewed by the Engineering Council Student Awards Committee. He will receive a Certificate of Merit and the Medal of Award in silver.

“Congratulations Sean – this is well deserved!” said Dean Martin Dunn. “I wish you the best as your career takes off – you have made us very proud and I know you will continue to do so.”

Quote of the week

“Seeing how committed CU Denver was to helping me succeed is what ultimately made my decision. Having that level of support—from advisors, faculty, and the department—makes a huge difference. It gives you confidence that you’re in the right place.”

~ Michael Ogbinaka, Current Electrical Engineering Student
