Electrical engineering alumna Ashanthi Maxworth, PhD ’17 & MS ’14, received the 2021 Faculty Senate Award for Scholarship for the University of Southern Maine (USM) where she is an assistant professor of electrical engineering. She was nominated for this award by her fellow faculty in recognition of having the most conference publications and projects with undergraduates for the 2020-21 academic year. Maxworth joined the USM engineering faculty in 2020 after completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Saskatchewan.

Since 2013, Maxworth has published more than 10 publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented at nearly 40 conferences.
